Our social studies curriculum will include geography, maps, History, and American Indians. It is expected that students at our school will:

	Identify reasons why communities require laws
	Describe the roles of the mayor, city council, and various community services
	Use various legends (keys) on maps to identify cities, state capitals, and natural resources
	Locate the different countries on a world map
	Use timelines, charts, graphs, and tables to analyze geographic information
	Compare and contrast urban, suburban and rural communities
	Describe life in early communities
	Describe various types of transportation used throughout the history.
